Description
Harvey Eisenberg Yogi Bear Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 10-14-62 (Hanna-Barbera/McNaught, 1962). Yogi Bear and Boo Boo Bear try out a new motoring invention, with unfortunate results for Park Ranger Smith. Yogi addresses Boo Boo as "Boob" in Panel 8, using a familiar spoken nickname from the Yogi Bear animated cartoons; the appearance of the term in print is jarring, however, in that it breaks an informal newspaper-comics taboo against such suggestively charged language, however innocent the intention. One small stat is missing from above the Yogi Bear logotype, but the piece is otherwise intact. In one panel Ink over graphite on Bristol board, lightly toned. Art measures 24.25" x 17.25".
