Description

Harvey Eisenberg Yogi Bear Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 9-17-63 (McNaught Syndicate, 1963). Yogi reads the Sunday funnies to a little girl who gets a kick out of the fact that Yogi is self-taught (caption: "You mean to sit there and tell me you never went to school?"), in this rare daily -- the first example we've seen since Heritage began auctioning comics and comic art in 2001. Harvey Eisenberg, sometimes referred to as the "Carl Barks of Hanna-Barbera Comics," provided art on Yogi Bear newspaper comics for only the first few years before handing the strip off to Gene Hazelton. The art is in ink over graphite on Duotone board, with an approximate image size of 9.25" x 9.25". Very Good condition with toning and mild handling wear.
