    Description

Harold LeDoux Judge Parker Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 12-8-68 (Field Enterprises, 1968). Judge Alan Parker, the title character since 1952, gets nosed out of his own feature by lawyer Sam Driver -- a younger go-getter in contrast to Parker's now middle-aged and self-serious personality. Parker is not even pictured in this sequence -- it's Driver's story, all the way. A pivotal moment from a classic of the soap-opera comics scene. Inscribed to musician and comics enthusiast Don Lineberger. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 20" x 14.5". Composed in three conjoined tiers, with conspicuous adhesive staining and marginal/gutter retouching. Very Good condition.
