Hal Foster Prince Valiant Partial Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 1-20-52 (King Features Syndicate, 1952). This wonderfully detailed single panel from a Prince Val Sunday shows what a large scale Foster worked with on this series! The image area measures 11.25" x 11", and it's just a single panel out of the even larger Sunday. Foster is known to cut out such panels and send them to fans who had written to him. What an amazing treat that must have been! This original art was created in ink with red ink key lines over graphite on Bristol board. Toned, with handling wear.
