    Description

Hal Foster Prince Valiant #1558 Sunday Comic Strip Panel Original Art dated 12-18-66 (King Features Syndicate, 1966). Prince Valiant snags a great looking salmon on this idyllic panel from a Sunday comic strip. Hal Foster would often respond to a fan-letter by cutting out and sending just a single panel, such at this, from a Prince Valiant strip. But even a single panel of his art could measure 11" x 11" just like this one does! Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board. The hand-lettered text is in a separate piece of Bristol board affixed to the original art board. There is glue residue and some discoloration in the bottom section and the margins. Overall in Very Good condition.
