    Description

George Wunder Terry and the Pirates Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-9-69 (News Syndicate, 1969). A stunning strip, each ink over graphite Bristol board panel has been cut out and individually glued to another piece of Bristol board. The "Kilroy Was Here" message scrawled in the final panel was a pop-culture expression created by Gaspar Monge during the second world war, and was typically seen in graffiti. The phrase became popular and was usually associated with GIs in the 1940s. Overall toning, with a few whiteout art corrections. The image area is in Excellent condition.
