Description

George Herriman Krazy Kat Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 8-30-42 (King Features Syndicate, 1942). "Into itch life, some rain must fall" -- so says Ignatz, in the final panel to a wonderfully wacky Krazy Kat Sunday, showcasing Krazy and Offissa Pupp. According to Underground cartoonist, comics publisher, and Harvey Kurtzman biographer Denis Kitchen, "The provenance on this Krazy Kat is almost as amazing as the strip itself. It was first owned by EC cartoonist Al Williamson, and then hung over second owner Harvey Kurtzman's fireplace mantel for more than forty years!" The art has an image area of 14.5" x 22.25" on 17.5" x 23.5" illustration board, and is in Very Good condition.
