Gene Carr Lady Bountiful Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 10-19-28 (King Features Syndicate, 1928). The glamorous Lady Bountiful, believed to be the first female protagonist of a comic strip, makes an appearance in Panel 4 of this installment alongside her "plebeian" son, Mickey. Ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 20" x 5". Toned, with corner creases (one supported with tape on the back), staining, production notes, additional tape on the reverse, and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
