Description

Gary Larson The Far Side Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 9-14-85 (Chronicle Features 1985). As all savvy comic strip art collectors know, any time a Far Side daily appears, it's a find. Since Gary Larson keeps most of his originals, they rarely appear in the marketplace. This particular gag is one of our all-time favorite examples of Larson's genius for bent humor --- how can you possibly top this kitty classic? This side-splitting ink and shading film on Bristol showstopper has an approximate image area of 6" x 7.5", while the Bristol has an overall size of 8.5" x 11". Aside from some yellowed Zipatone (and being very faintly lightstruck), the art is in Excellent condition. Inscribed and signed, in blue pen, "To Alan, with best regards, Gary Larson."
