Description

Garry Trudeau Doonesbury Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 12-24-73 (Universal Press Syndicate, 1973). This landmark Watergate-era episode from the height of Doonesbury's popularity uses sarcasm to argue the complicity of President Richard M. Nixon in covering up political crimes. Trudeau's repetitive architectural composition emphasizes the contrived impediments to an investigation. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 14.5" x 4.5". Excellent condition.
