Description
Garry Trudeau and Don Carlton Doonesbury Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 4-18-75 (Universal Press Syndicate, 1975). Recurring character Zonker Harris buys into the 1970s fad for talking to one's house-plants. Not a pleasant conversation. Sarcasm to spare in this droll non-sequitur commentary on crazed obsessions. Sparely drawn, repetitive artwork, with slight variations in each panel, emphasizes the dark humor. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. The image area measures 14.75" x 5", with light toning. Matted out to 19" x 8.5". Excellent condition.More information about Garry Trudeau. See also: Trudeau, Garry Artist.
