Gaar Williams Daily Single-Panel Comic Strips Original Art Group of 4 (Chicago Tribune, 1932). Williams proves himself a far-sighted, subtle social critic with this prophetic observation about the ecology of the Great Plains. Here we have four dailies from Among the Folks in History, Our Secret Ambition, Something Ought To Be Done About This, and Wotta Life! Wotta Life! Dates included are 2-14, 8-23, 9-4, and 9-8, of 1932. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with image areas of 13.5" square. There is moderate toning, and smudging, spots of oil staining, and foxing, corner creases and bumps, marginal staining. Very Good condition. From the Ray Edw Collection.
