Frederick Opper - Daily Comic Strip Original Art (undated). In this strip titled, "A Little Exaggeration? Perhaps," it seems even Martians can run afoul of the IRS if they're not careful -- and regulations have only gotten worse since this cartoon was drawn. Frederick Opper is considered to be the one of the first American cartoonists to develop the use of speech balloons in a continuing comic strip. He was also among the first to use panels to advance the story line. This outrageous daily has an image area that measures approximately 12" x 7", and the art is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
