Fred Harman Red Ryder Partial Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 8-20-39 (NEA, 1939). Partial or no, this is the earliest Red Ryder strip we've ever offered, coming out just ten months after the strip began syndication. Red Ryder is in a tight spot in this piece, about to be rescued by Little Beaver and the attractive in any clothes White Fawn. This piece is approximately 22" x 13". Ink over graphite and blue pencil. Page is yellowing with pinholes in the corners and some tape pieces on the back. In overall Very Good condition. From A Collection of Great Cartoonists and Illustrators.
