Frank Willard Moon Mullins Sunday Comic Strip Original Art, dated 1-7-51 (News Syndicate Co., Inc., 1951). The endearing low-lifes of Moon Mullins take a turn on the ice-skating pond -- with disastrous results for Uncle Willie Mullins and his ungainly wife, Mamie. An exhilarating example of a classic feature. Each frame was drawn onto a separate sheet, cut-and-pasted onto a larger board, and the edges were inked in to meet the borders -- a syndicate custom. There is staining around the paste-ups, especially in the bottom frames of the accompanying Kitty Higgins strip. The image area measures 27" x 18.5", and overall the art is in Very Good condition. From the Ray Edw Collection.
