Description

Frank Frazetta Johnny Comet Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 6-13-52 (McNaught Syndicate, 1952). Before Frank Frazetta became one of the go-to people for movie posters, paperback book covers, and paintings of barbarians and damsels-in-distress, he worked in comic books and comic strips. Johnny Comet allowed Frazetta to draw luscious women, a hunky hero, and fast cars. What's not to like about that? This is a great example of the strip with a gorgeous femme fatale, and our tight-T-shirt wearing hero. The series was only about six months old at this point. This strip bears a fantastic Frazetta signature in the last panel and was created in ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 17" x 4.5". It is matted and glass front framed to 21" x 9.25". The board is lightly tanned, otherwise, in Excellent condition. From the Eric Sack Collection.
