Description

Frank Frazetta Johnny Comet Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 5-30-52 (McNaught Syndicate, 1952). Frank Frazetta was a highly skilled artist -- able to create powerful images with a delicate hand. This early comic strip illustrates the soft, fluid ink lines he used to add realistic detail to his artwork. Johnny, Jean, and Pop look like they are in for some trouble on this daily rendered in ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 17" x 4.5". Slight toning, darker around the edges, a trimmed top edge and tape adhesive staining on the back, with light staining and handling wear. Frazetta's iconic signature adorns the first panel and in Very Good condition.
