Description

Ernie Bushmiller Nancy Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 6-4-69 (United Feature Syndicate, 1969). Anybody out there remember when physicians would do house calls? Bushmiller resurrects the lapsed practice (sort of) with an inadvertent house call for Nancy Ritz. Her doctor is flabbergasted, to the delight of the reader. Casual weirdness from a master of the three-second gag-delivery process. (It's more difficult to achieve than it sounds -- just ask Ernie Bushmiller, a painstaking draftsman-cartoonist.) Ink and Zipatone shading over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 19" x 5.25". Very Good condition, with light yellowing in the Zip film and a file-storage crease at the center.
