Description

Eric Stanton Tin Hats Wartime Daily Comic Strip Panel dated 4-29-43 Original Art (Bell Syndicate, 1943). Stanton gained youthful momentum with the 1942-44 run of Tin Hats as a morale-booster feature for the Allied Forces. His dedication to the craft led to formal art-schooling, complicated by a 1947-66 affiliation with the bondage-erotica publisher Irving Klaw. Ink and crayon over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 6.5" x 7.5". Lightly toned/scuffed and in Very Good condition.
