Description

Edmond Good Knight Masters Daily Comic Strip Try Out Original Art (1940s). Good had created the Rex Baxter feature for Bell Publishing, drawn the Scorchy Smith strip, and helped to introduce DC Comics' Tomahawk serial. The artist envisioned bigger things with a conceptual push for Knight Masters, a combination of mystery-comedy-ghostly influences. The pitch failed, but this example endures as a small monument to a series that might have been. Ink and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area, 20.25" x 5". Moderate toning and adhesive staining. Otherwise in Excellent condition.
