Ed Leffingwell Little Joe Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 9-1-35 (Chicago Tribune-NY News Syndicate, 1935). The second oldest Little Joe we have ever offered! Ed Leffingwell started this strip in 1993, but passed away in 1936, making this a very rare early example of the series, which ran until 1972 under his brother Bob Leffingwell's hand. This Sunday, Little Joe gets a lesson in the ethics of hard work crafted in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 19" x 12.5". The checkerboard logo is completely hand-drawn! Wow! There are some stains/discolorations in the image area of the toned board. In Very Good condition.
