Description

Dick Sprang and Stan Kaye (signing as Bob Kane) Batman Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 2-25-46 (McClure Syndicate, 1946). Sprang began ghosting the Batman feature for DC Comics in 1941. The talented artist also worked on some of the Batman comic strips, ghosting for Bob Kane, but his dailies are extremely rare, with only a handful of examples known to exist. The image area of this ink over graphite strip is approximately 6.5" x 21.5", and the art, on three conjoined pieces Craftint board, is in Very Good condition, with moderate age toning, handling wear, tape and paper residue along the bottom (in the extended area), and some light marginal overlap of chemical-shading. Don't let this rare chance to own a vintage original Bat-piece fly away.
