Description

David Wright Carol Day #45 Daily Comic Strip Original Art (London Daily Mirror, 1956). This episode is from November of 1956, and hails from the first story arc of the strip, titled "Charles Logan". Wright, always the consummate professional, was unhappy with his first efforts at the center panel, so he cut it out, redrew it, and taped the strip back together prior to publication. Produced in ink and whiteout on illustration board with an approximate image area of 17" x 5". There are two strips of tape on the back, two pieces on the front, unevenly cut top and bottom edges, toning, small spot stains, and handling wear; in otherwise Very Good condition. Strips from this first storyline are very scarce and highly desirable, so don't let this early Carol Day slip away into the night!
