    Description

Dave Cockrum (attributed) Doc Savage Unpublished Daily Comic Strip Pitch Piece Original Art (unpublished, 1970s). Dave Cockrum put together a loving pitch for a new Doc Savage comic strip series. It included a week's worth of inked strips for the first week that introduced Doc and his assistants to new readers. This was to be the day-2 strip, and it showcases Doc and the Fabulous Five. Fan-favorite bickering best friends Ham and Monk get the spotlight in the last panel. Although the piece is unsigned and uncredited, the lettering is thought to be by Gaspar Saladino. The ink and graphite art on Bristol board measures 14.25" x 4.25" and is UV framed to 21.75" x 11.5". In Excellent condition.
