    Dave Breger Daily Comic Strip Original Art Group of 5 (King Features Syndicate, 1948). Stars and Stripes cartoonist, Dave Breger, who is credited with inventing the term "G.I. Joe," used his experiences as a soldier in a comic panel series entitled Private Breger, beginning in 1941. Breger continued his syndicated panel for King Features Syndicate after his military service, under the title, Mister Breger. Offered here are two Private Bregers, and three Mister Bregers. Ink over graphite on DuoTone board (the three Mister Bregers), one done on Bristol boars, with blue wash, and one hand-colored possible preliminary. There is also a Private Breger tear sheet. Conditions range from Good to Excellent.
