    Description

Dan Barry Flash Gordon Sunday Comic Strip Original Art Group of 3 (King Features Syndicate, 1986). "Interplanetary Gothic," is the term applied to Flash Gordon by comics historians George E. Turner and Michael H. Price -- describing Alex Raymond's original series of the Depression years, but just as relevant to Barry's modernized version of times more recent. Here are the three consecutive Flash Gordon Sunday strips, dated 6-1, 6-8, and 6-15-86, full of menacing suspense, done in ink over graphite on Bristol board. The image area measures 15.25" x 7". In Excellent condition, with staples in the top left corners.
