Chris Achilleos - Original Preliminary Art for "Bikini" (1982).One of the best known fantasy artists working today, Chris Achilleos first came to prominence through his exciting work on the cult-classic film Heavy Metal. He went on to contribute to such true classics as Clash of the Titans (where he worked with Ray Harryhausen), and Ridley Scott's Blade Runner. His books, including Beauty and the Beast, Medusa, and Sirens (in which the piece that resulted from this preliminary drawing was published) have met with both critical and commercial success, making him a name to be reckoned with in the fantasy art field. Rendered in stunning detail in tonal pencil on vellum, the piece has an image area of approximately 10.5" x 16". In excellent condition, it is signed by the artist in the lower left
