Description

Chester Gould Dick Tracy Sunday Comic Strip Original Art, dated 1-1-67 (Chicago Tribune Syndicate, 1967). Even while Gould indulged in his controversial outer-space period of Dick Tracy, the artist kept things grounded in the original concept -- the horror of the public enemy. This episode touches on the Moon expedition, but showcases one of Gould's more hideous villains, the split-faced Haf-and-Haf. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. The page is composed of conjoined tiers. Image area, 20" x 24". Aside from a stained logotype stat, the condition is Very Good. From the Ray Edw Collection.
