Description

Chester Gould Dick Tracy Daily Comic Strips Original Art Group of 3 (Chicago Tribune, 1956). Detective Sam Catchem finally finds the basement entrance beneath the burned-out shell of Flattop Jones Jr.'s hideout, uncovering the strange setup where once-famous actor Zeus Farnsworth has apparently been living underground. Dick Tracy pops in for a quick cameo, and Flattop steals the curtain call in the last panel -- with a very clingy companion in tow! Includes dailies dated 9-15, 9-17, and 9-19 of 1956, created in ink over graphite on Bristol boards with image areas of 16.5" x 5". Light toning, smudging/soiling, production oil staining, discolored tape in margin, marginal pinholes, ink test marks, and editorial/production marks, and edge/corner handling wear. Overall, in Very Good condition.
