Description

Chester Gould Dick Tracy Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 6-30-45 (Chicago Tribune, 1945). Breathless Mahoney, a classic Tracy villain, has croaked a gardener, and hides in a laundry truck awaiting a ride to freedom. Titled "Impatient Passenger," this is a peak-period episode from a classic crimebuster feature. The ink over graphite on Bristol board strip has an image area of 20" x 6", and aside from some moderate age-toning and soiling, is in Very Good condition. A horizontal line has been drawn through the bottom of all panels indicating a crop line for newspapers that chose to run the feature at a smaller size. From the Ray Edw Collection.
