Description

Chester Gould Dick Tracy Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 3-23-70 (Chicago Tribune Syndicate, 1970). A depressed Dick feels like he has let Tinky down, and then gets yelled at by the Police Chief. Not a good day for Tracy! A high-contrast composition that demonstrates Gould's mastery of the black-spotting technique. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of approximately 16.5" x 5". Light toning, marginal handling wear and extraneous markings in the borders, and pinholes in the top margin. In Very Good condition.
