    Description

Chester Gould Dick Tracy Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 2-19-44 (Tribune, 1944). From the most famous of all Dick Tracy stories -- the World War II-era case of Flattop, the hired assassin. While Tracy chases the master criminal, Flattop hides in a rooftop chimney... filled with bees! Gould is working here at the peak of his audacious confidence and storytelling energy. Ink over graphite on Bristol board, with an image area of 20" x 6". Light toning, edge and handling wear, and a few pinholes on the margins. In Very Good condition. Signed in the last panel.
