Description

Charles Schulz Peanuts Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 9-14-58 (United Feature Syndicate, 1958). This amazing, peak period Sunday was generously gifted and warmly inscribed by Schulz to a then 10-year-old boy who had met a United Feature Syndicate employee at a dog training class! So the subject matter of this incredibly thoughtful gift couldn't be more appropriate - or charming! The beautiful original has been in the collection of that boy ever since, appearing on the market now for the very first time. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 22.5" x 15.25". Signed in the opening panel, the closing panel, and personalized and signed again in Panel 7. The logo is a printed paste-up that is slightly discolored and wrinkled. The board has been creased between the top and middle tier, and folded in half down the center. The last panel has a bit of blue ink smudge. In Very Good condition.
