Description

Charles Schulz Peanuts Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 4-4-54 (United Feature Syndicate, 1954). Wow! This is a very early Lucy Van Pelt strip! The entire Peanuts strip was only four years old at this point, and Lucy had only been introduced two years previous to this. She still has the "very small child" features here that most of the cast exhibited at that time. In just a few more years, they would all morph into their "final forms". But look how cute tiny little Lucy is! Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 22.5" x 15". Signed in the last panel, and personalized and signed in the first panel of the middle tier. The logo is a printed paste-up, and there is a text correction paste-up in Panel 11. The toned board is matted to 27.5" x 18.25", and in Good condition.
