Charles Schulz Peanuts Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 1-27-63 (United Feature Syndicate, 1963). Have you ever wondered about Snoopy's habit of sleeping on top of his doghouse? Apparently in the world of Peanuts, such questions are simply not to be asked! This incredible Sunday dares to touch on that somewhat delicate subject, as Linus offers what seems to be the most logical way for Snoopy to stay warm at night, but whoa -- what a reaction from Charlie Brown and Lucy! We love the many unusual qualities of this piece, like Snoopy and Linus eyeing each other in panel five, the "double take" Linus does in the next-to-last panel, and of course the "what is he thinking" expressions. No doubt about it, this is a superb Sunday! The art is in ink over graphite on Bristol board, with an image area of 22.5" x 15.25".
