Description
Charles Schulz Peanuts Schroeder Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 4-14-52 (United Feature Syndicate, 1952). Schroeder goes from play (on the slide) to play (a Beethoven piano concerto) in this wordless but definitely not silent daily. The enigma of the little boy who could play such intricate musical pieces on a toy piano ("with the black keys painted on") has long been a big part of the Peanuts mystique. He was still a relatively new character to the strip at this point, having debuted as a toddler less than a year before. This daily was only the fifteenth Peanuts strip to show Schroeder at the piano. The art is in ink and graphite on bristol, with an image size of approximately 27" x 5", and is in Very Good condition with the usual mailing crease between the second and third panels, and some light paper tanning along the edges. It's been signed in ink by Mr. Schulz in the first panel.Auction Info
