Description
Charles Schulz Peanuts Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 10-3-69 (United Feature Syndicate, 1969). Rod McKuen gets a shout-out in this great original comic strip from 1969. It is personalized at the top as "To Rod with friendship, admiration, and every good wish -- Sparky". Rod McKuen and Charles "Sparky" Schulz were close friends over the years, and McKuen composed music and sang several songs for A Boy Named Charlie Brown. This strip is produced in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 27.5" x 5.5". Slight tanning with handling wear, the personalization has faded some, and as usual with strips of this size it has been folded between the center panels at some point. Overall in Very Good condition. From the Estate of Rod McKuen.More information about Charles Schulz. See also: Schulz, Charles, Schulz, Charles Monroe Artist.
