Description

Charles Schulz Peanuts Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 10-11-58 (United Feature Syndicate, 1958). Snoopy knows that good music is the best way to beat the blues, in this late 'fifties daily featuring Charlie Brown and Lucy. The most enduring quality to Charles Schulz's Peanuts comic strip was the human touch -- presenting situations that, while comical, were relatable to his readers. Who hasn't felt the need to withdraw into our own little world from time to time? Schulz's real genius was the way he presented these human feelings as felt by a pet dog, and make them seem completely believable. The artwork is in ink and graphite on Bristol board, with an image area of 27.25" x 5.5". The usual fold line between the second and third panels is present; there's a bit of light soiling and a couple of places where the surface of the board has been scraped (away from any art lines); overall, the condition is Very Good. Any 1950s Peanuts original is a treasure, and this gem shines through any handling wear beautifully.
