    Description

Charles Flanders The Lone Ranger Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 4-27-63 (King Features Syndicate, 1963). A striking, subtly suspenseful episode from the classic Western feature, with the Lone Ranger, Tonto, and a traveling companion seeking refuge from a storm, in an old church, but unfortunately they are stepping right into a trap! Flanders had been drawing the feature since 1939 -- and he would stick with it until 1971. A fine sense of character design and environmental settings. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 18" x 5". Faint toning and moderate adhesive staining from missing Zipatone. In Very Good condition.
