    Description

Charles Flanders The Lone Ranger Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 2-25-63 (King Features Syndicate, 1963) A striking, subtly suspenseful episode from the classic Western feature, with a traveling professor in harm's way and the Lone Ranger and Tonto ready to ride to the rescue. Flanders at this point had been drawing the feature since 1939 -- and he would stick with it until 1971. Great consistency over the long haul, and a fine sense of character design and environmental settings. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. Image area, 18" x 5". Faint toning and moderate adhesive staining. Very Good condition.
