Burne Hogarth Tarzan #721 Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 12-31-44 (King Features Syndicate, 1944). The last day of the year in 1944 gave us this action-filled Sunday from the masterful hands of Burne Hogarth. It was titled "Tarzan's Courage" from the previous week, but the star of this Sunday is brave Bulak who comes to the Ape-Man's aid. A wonderful example of Hogarth's ability to flow action from panel-to-panel, and still have time for a couple of great portrait pieces. The Sunday was created in ink over graphite on three joined sections of Bristol board with a combined image area of 19.5" x 26.5". The boards were joined with tape from the reverse side. The toned boards have edge/corner wear, some minor stains in the lower section, and a crack/rip in the right side margin of the middle section. The logo is a printed paste-up that is stained and discolored. In Good condition.
