Description

Bud Sagendorf Popeye Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 2-19-78 (King Features Syndicate, 1978). If you've ever wanted a Popeye Sunday where he drops a perfectly timed "Blow me down!", this one delivers. Add a dash of Popeye-Brutus jealousy, Olive Oyl's broken fingernail melodrama, and you've got a strip that's practically guaranteed to blow you down. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 21" x 14.25". Light toning, with light frame shadow, minor spot staining, adhesive residue staining in top margin, whiteout touch-ups, blue pencil editorial marks, logo is a printed paste-up, corrective abrasions, marginal pulled-tape abrasions, and corner/edge handling wear. In Very Good condition.
