Description
Brant Parker Wizard of Id Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 11-2-69 (Field Enterprises, 1969). Johnny Hart's dark humor in collaboration with Parker was a perfect combination for this popular medieval-themed strip that has been running since 1964. Rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 19.25" x 13". The age-toned board has been cut and re-taped on the back between the tiers to allow mailing to the syndicate. Vertical creasing in the middle, a frame-shadow around the piece, and pinholes at the top. Tape and residue in the top left corner, tape pull in the lower left margin, with light staining and handling wear. Personalized by Hart and Parker in the opening panel and in Very Good condition.Auction Info
