Bob Lubbers Long Sam Daily Comic Strip Original Art Group of 10 (United Feature Syndicate, 1957-1959) Created by Al Capp, and modeled on the hillbilly-humor craze of the day, "Long Sam" features a gorgeous, but completely naive lass as the main character. This insured that artist Bob Lubbers always had at least one lovely female to draw each episode, as shown here in 10 fantastic strips! Created in ink over graphite and Zipatone on Bristol board with image areas of 19" x 5.25". With light toning and dust shadows along the edges, small pinholes, soft corner bumps, and handling wear. The art averages in Very Good condition. From the Estate of Bob Lubbers.
