Alex Raymond (signing as Lyman Young) Tim Tyler's Luck Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 12-6-33 (King Features Syndicate, 1933). It's death in the jaws of Ape-Rock for sure if Spud can't get to Tim fast enough! Alex Raymond ghosted Lyman Young's strip Tim Tyler's Luck from 1932-33, and his eye-catching designs helped make the strip popular enough to warrant a 12-episode movie serial in 1937. However it was Alex Raymond's next work that made him a household word. Just one month after this episode of Tim Tyler's Luck was released, the first episode of Flash Gordon would be printed. The strip in this lot is ink over graphite and blue pencil on Bristol board with an image area of 25" x 5.5". Tanning with corner wear and chipping. In Very Good condition.
