Description

Alex Raymond Rip Kirby Daily Comic Strip Original Art Group of 2 (King Features Syndicate, 1952). Raymond had made his earliest mark with a crimebuster feature, Secret Agent X-9, before Flash Gordon and Jungle Jim elevated him to comic-strip royalty. He returned to crime fiction after World War II with Rip Kirby, with photorealistic/cinematic style of illustration for which he was known. Dates are 1-10 and 12-2 of 1952. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with image areas of 20" x 5.25". Light-to-moderate age-toning. Some rippling, smudging, edge and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
