Description
Alex Raymond Rip Kirby Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 9-13-49 (King Features Syndicate, 1949). After leaving the Marine Corps in 1946, Raymond created Rip Kirby, a daily strip which proved to be extremely popular. The example offered here demonstrates Raymond's complete mastery of his art. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 18.5" x 5.5". Mild toning and smudging, the top border is trimmed, and there is marginal tape residue. In Very Good condition.From the Bobby G. Murphy Collection.
