Description

Alex Raymond Rip Kirby Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 6-3-49 (King Features Syndicate, 1949). After leaving the Marine Corps in 1946, Raymond created Rip Kirby, a daily strip which proved to be extremely popular. This example demonstrates Raymond's complete mastery of his art with thin line work and bold inking. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 18.5" x 5.5". Mild toning, spots of soiling, corner and edge wear, tape residue, and marginal notes. In Very Good condition.
