Alex Raymond Jungle Jim #4 - 28 janvier 1934 (King Features Syndicate, 1934).

Alex Raymond Jungle Jim #4 Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 1-28-34 (King Features Syndicate, 1934). Only the fourth episode of this classic Alex Raymond creation! In 1933, Raymond was asked to create two new strips to compete with the hugely popular Buck Rogers and Tarzan strips. He came up with two winners... Flash Gordon and Jungle Jim. Appearing originally as the topper companion strip to Flash Gordon, Jungle Jim eventually stood on its own as a feature and was spun-out into radio, film, comic book, and even TV appearances. In yet another tie-in to Tarzan, actor Johnny Weissmuller even portrayed Jim in film and TV. This tense Sunday features Raymond's sleek lines and quick action. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of approximately 12" x 25.5". It is numbered #4 in the lower right. The syndication strip still says "1933" as they had forgotten to update the year. The lightly toned board is in otherwise Excellent condition. From the Al Williamson Collection.
