Description
Alex Raymond Flash Gordon Sunday Comic Strip Original Art dated 7-7-35 (King Features Syndicate, 1935). This episode is from the story arc "The Witch Queen of Mongo", which ran from 4-21-35 to 10-13-35. This Sunday features a mind-controlled Flash Gordon in Panel 1. The rest of the strip features Dr. Zarkov in every panel, and even Dale Arden in Panel 7. Created in ink over graphite on illustration board with an image area of 23.75" x 21.25". The board is very toned, with corner damage and pinholes in the margins. Raymond signed it twice in the last panel, also inscribing it to his friend, accomplished cartoonist Joe Musial.
